I wish everyone showed up for their session and exclaimed, “I’m gonna go run!” No nerves or worries — just straight to having having fun! Delilah arrived with a huge smile on her face and took off down the beach, and I don’t think she stopped smiling the entire time we were together, which made my job SO easy.
I had the best time capturing her joy and meeting her sweet parents, Kathryn and Kurt. They explained that their daughter hadn’t had professional photos taken since she was one, and since she was turning five this weekend, they wanted to get updated images of her. I’m honored they allowed me to be one to capture this sweet, spunky girl.
Delilah is wearing the same necklace that she wore in her one year photos, which I just thought was the sweetest idea! I totally think I’ll have to do that with my daughter and choose something that can grow with her. She also rocked a unicorn horn for part of the afternoon, and I learned about her upcoming unicorn party!
She played in the sea grass, drew in the sand, and explored all around the beach of First Landing State Park. I absolutely loved the mix of posed and candid, and there were SO many photos I loved of this fabulous (almost) five year old and her awesome parents. Enjoy a few of my favs!
