When Mike and I started dating in college, Charles was on his first friends that I met. Mike and I had only been on a couple of dates when he asked me if I wanted to go shoot clay targets with him and a friend. I remember thinking that this was such a fun date idea, but also that his friend must be a great sport to willingly be a third wheel on a very new relationship. Charles was the only one of the bunch that actually showed any talent with shooting targets, and he was also a such a laid back and easy-to-get-along-with guy.  I had the best time laughing at Mike and Charles’ stories and banter!

Despite being hundreds of miles away for the last several years, Mike and Charles have stayed wonderful friends; Charles and Jamie even came all the way from Hawaii so that he could be a groomsman in our wedding.

A few months ago, the four of us rented an Airbnb in Blacksburg for a football weekend. Surprisingly, this was the first time I had spend an extended amount of time with Jamie, and I can’t believe it took us this long! We had such a great time! Since we realized we enjoyed traveling together so much, we took another trip last weekend to Charlottesville to visit wineries. We stayed on the sweetest horse farm that was the perfect backdrop for fall photos.

Jamie and Charles started dating in high school, so they’ve been through so many seasons of life together! But I love that they can still flirt and have fun like a new couple! These two were SO easy to photograph! I just got to sit back while Charles made Jamie laugh. Their genuine happiness shines through in each and every image! I hope you enjoy looking through them!

The horses were not happy that I was ignoring them, so one started to nibble on my cheek before going in for a photobomb!
